cliff piece (passport performance score) (2025)

Crossing between ethnography, psycho-geographic essay and instructional poetry, this work is based in the performance of movement–in this case on a ferry across the English Channel–that seeks to both situate chalk in its formation on the southeast coast of England, while also asking us to consider the broader social, cultural and historical implications of the chalk that exists as a material of border, whiteness, deterrent and, ultimately, political projects of projection.
