13 minute single channel moving image performance
This tactile performance with chalk was enacted inside a contemplative framework defined by moment-to-moment interactive-reflection whereby I, as the human agent, endeavoured to remain curious about and alert to the dynamics of the relational performance – in particular, the subjective experience, and objectification within both a collaborative and resistive co-authored event. For, within event-ness, writes Fisher-Lichte, “participants experience themselves as subjects who partially control, and are partially controlled by, the conditions—neither fully autonomous nor fully determined”. Through this experiential method, chalk and I become participant and spectator searching for an equitable event-space between companion performers.
