Following a dream which included the instruction “make a portrait of pluto, he’s got something to say”, this project asks what happens when that which is considered ‘internal’ begins to make itself known externally. Exploring dream, ‘madness’ and ritualised acts of relating, pluto, initially took the form of a 400 page manuscript, which was then burnt in a ceremonial fire to become ash. Transforming once more, it now exists as ash portraits on paper.
