An experiment in smell and memory, Ru(i)ns is an audio and olfactory installation interested in the notion of ‘storying memory’. Using a cassette player, a distinctive scent, and original audio, participants are invited into a scented room and played the recording. Some weeks later, they were invited back, where the scent was given to them once more. This time they were asked a question: what do you remember?
